Website Exclusive: MORE THAN 800 FORDS AT BEAULIEU’S BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND RALLY
A staggering 800 Fords are already booked to take part in Simply Ford at Beaulieu this weekend (Sunday May 1st 2016) with even more owners expected to join the rally with their treasured cars.
Tickets are selling fast for this hugely popular event in the grounds of the National Motor Museum, open to every age and model of Ford, from Cortinas, Zodiacs and Anglias to Mondeos, Focuses and Transits. For a day out that will appeal to Ford fans and family visitors alike, Simply Ford is an unmissable event.
Owners’ clubs and enthusiasts groups are at the heart of Simply Ford, with 38 clubs booked to display their members’ cars on club stands, from the Electric Orange ST Club and Ford Probe Owners’ Club to West Country Fords and the Wiltshire Classic Ford Club.
Show regular Ford Heritage will display a selection of cars from its prestigious historic collection. On an ‘old and new’ theme, a preserved 1965 Mustang will be parked alongside the brand new version of this legendary muscle car, while an early example of the Focus RS will be displayed with the latest incarnation of the model.
Visitors will have the chance to vote for their favourite car of the event in the People’s Choice Award, with the owner of the winning vehicle receiving a commemorative Beaulieu trophy and Autoglym prize.
For rally participants arriving in a Ford, entry to the Beaulieu grounds is from 9am, when the Brabazon Restaurant will be serving drinks and breakfast bites. Participant tickets are£10 for an adult and £5 for a child and can be bought on the day, or in advance on 01590 612888 or www.beaulieu.co.uk/events.
All other visitors should enter Beaulieu via the main reception at normal Beaulieu attraction admission prices.
For friends taking part in the show with more than one Ford vehicle, please ensure that you all arrive at the same time if you wish to park together.
Admission includes access to all of the Beaulieu attraction.
