BREAKING NEWS - Late Switch for Malvern Spring Classic
There's been an eleventh hour change of plan for this weekend's 26th Malvern Spring Classic Car Show & Autojumble held at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern on Sunday May 15.
This very popular show, which includes the 19th Malvern Spring Mini Show & Spares Day, was to have used the Severn Hall and immediate outside area with visitors entering by the Showground's Yellow Gate. Now a switch enforced on organisers ClassicShows means that visitors and exhibitors will use the venue's Brown Gate with the show being held in the Three Counties Showground's Wye and Avon Halls, plus a huge temporary structure, utilised during the recent massive Malvern Flower Show. Clubs and individual entries will also display on the adjascent outside area.
This event is the amalgamation of two events, the Mini and Classic Car shows. There will be 50 or so trade and autojumble stands selling classic car and Mini spares, books and literature, toys and models, tools and accessories some situated outside and some inside. The 250 or so classic cars and Minis are parked up on arrival on a 'first come first served basis'.
ClassicShows boss Matthew Harvey told CMM. "The late switch is not ideal, but we are confident we'll still have a fantastic day - right now our problem is informing everyone to go to Brown Gate rather than Yellow!
"We will have a commentator on hand along with expert judges for the concours competition. The increase in indoor space may be a blessing - all in all this is a season opening event that the weather can't spoil at this superb venue just a short drive from the West Midlands, South Wales and the South West."
