Classic Torque - WHAT TO DO?

Classic Torque - WHAT TO DO?

Dear Classic Motor

I have inherited a 1967 Triumph Herald 1200 which had done a very low mileage and was garaged for the past 30 years.

The interior is in very good condition, but the exterior has rusted and although the car is rolling, I believe the mechanical aspects are in need of some serious TLC. I wondered whether or not any of your readers may have any interest in it as a doer-upper, or have any other advice with regards what might be best to do with it?
I had made enquiries about having it restored myself but the likely cost has deterred me due to other more pressing commitments and nowhere long-term to store it.

Any suggestions you may have would be appreciated. It seems a shame to just scrap it.

*Dear Tom; I'll say this loudly so there's no mistake: DON'T SCRAP IT!!! The best thing you can do is offer it to an enthusiast for restoration...which I believe that, between us, we've just done...
