Website Exclusive - Classic Car Day at Killerton
On Sunday 15 May, hundreds of vintage vehicles will park up in style to celebrate ‘Classic Car Day’ in Killerton's historic parkland in Broadclyst, Exeter, Devon. The National Trust's 18th-century house provides a backdrop like no other, with a chance to admire a huge variety of unique cars, enjoy live music and visit craft and food stalls.
Classic car enthusiasts travel far and wide to show off their prized vehicles in the hope of winning the coveted Killerton House Cup for the ‘best car in show’. Tiverton Town Band and All Jazzed Up will be bringing the park to life with live performances.
If you like to exhibit your classic car, places are limited. Individual cars need to book by Friday 13 May. The deadline has now passed for booking in your car club. Are you a local crafts person? Organisers of the Clasic Car Day are on the lookout for some extra stallholders for this flagship event. Said a spokesman: "We're booked out with lovely jewellery and food stalls, so if you've got something else that might fit the bill we'd love to hear from you. Please contact [email protected] or drop us a line on 01392 881345, or visit http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/killerton/features/killerton-gearing-up-... for more details."
Classic Car Day takes place from 10am until 5pm. Normal admission fees apply. The National Trust is a charity and proceeds from the event helps them to fund conservation work at Killerton.
